  • Design and display

The Nokia 7.2 comes with a premium look and comfortable feeling when in hands. The metal frame has made things better for this phone and curved edges give a comfortable grip. On the rear panel, there is a curved Gorilla Glass 3 which makes this device tough and less slippery. The phone is less probe of capturing fingerprints and the matte rear panel is a bit reflective. On the right, you get to see the volume rocker and the power button, with an LED embedded into it. On the left, there is the triple slot SIM tray and a dedicated Google Assistant button. The 3.5mm headphone jack is on the top while the speaker and USB Type-C port are at the bottom. The Nokia 7.2 comes in two color variants – Charcoal and Cyan Green.

Coming to the display, the Nokia 7.2 packs a 6.3-inch full-HD+ HDR 10-certified display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display has peak brightness up to 500 nits and this display is one of the biggest USPs of this device. The display is sharp, bright, and vivid with good viewing angles and punchy color reproduction. Under the sun, you can easily see the content as the brightness is adequate. HMD Global has also gone with Widevine L1 DRM certification for the Nokia 7.2.

  • Performance

Under the hood, the Nokia 7.2 is having a Snapdragon 660 which is quite capable of handling day-to-day tasks. But, this SoC lags behind its competition when we see other processors coming in the same-priced devices. Nokia 7.2 comes in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and a 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The internal storage can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card. Coming to experience, you won’t feel any lag or stutters and switching between apps is smooth as butter. Playing high-end games might slow this device and you will get to know its limitations at that time. This device scored 328 in Geekbench 5’s single-core test, and a 1,245 in the multi-core test which is less than its counterparts.

The new Nokia 7.2 runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and is a pure stock Android device.

  • Cameras

Talking about cameras, the new Nokia 7.2 sports a triple-camera setup on the back panel which includes a main 48-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Pictures came out detailed and sharp while it lacked natural colors in some of the pictures. Struggling began in low-light where the details were underwhelmed. For selfies, there is a 20-megapixel selfie camera. It takes really good shots- worth sharing on social media.

  • Battery Life

The new Nokia 7.2 packs a high-capacity 3,500mAh battery which is good enough for the underwhelming chipset. It can easily give you more than one day of usage only if you are a casual user. Using it for social media, heavy gaming, listening to music, watching videos, and browsing Web, this phone still had 10-15 percent of juice left at the end of the day. Nokia has included a 10W charger in the box which can take the device from zero to a hundred in 90 minutes. Compare Nokia 7.2 to phones of Realme, Xiaomi, and Samsung, charging feels a bit slow in this device. Talking about benchmarks, this device stayed up for around 10 hours in the HD video battery loop test. You can get detail of Off Campus Jobs online from fresh hiring.

  • Final Verdict

The Nokia 7.2 is a great device and compare it to Nokia 7.1, this is an interesting upgrade with a faster processor, better battery, and quality cameras. The display is the biggest USP of this device and for casual usage, this phone works like a breeze. Coming at Rs. 18,599, the Nokia 7.2 brings the outdated hardware in the market- which we expected to get last year. Still, it is a decent deal to crack but the competition has more to offer at this price. If you want to have pure Android experience, want to have a Nokia phone, and don’t care about gaming, this phone is good to go. Other than that, there are phones like Realme X, Vivo Z1x, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Realme XT to offer more.
